first off, i'm a hoosier.
i'm a mixed vietnamese-american, fat, queer, femme director, educator and collaborator originally from indiana.
i'm drawn to complicated and chaotic stories of diaspora that are fast-paced and funny. I make work that creates a bridge between otherness and belonging. work that expands the american identity beyond monoliths into messy messy intersectionality. i do theatre because it has magic- it allows us to inhabit the present and conjures our future and past.
this fall im excited to be directing Nina Ki's Moon Bear in the Breaking the Binary Festival
summer 2023 i was the associate director on Lizard Boy and part of the Mercury Store's Directing Intensive
spring 2023 i directed Kate Hamill's Little Women with Perseverance Theatre in Alaska. and i was the transfer director for Sanctuary City at Berkley Rep & Arena Stage
i spent summer 2021 as a Drama League Directing Fellow at the Hangar Theatre.
spring of 2021 I worked with Perseverance Theatre in Alaska as the Community and Education Coordinator on the Winter Bear Project. i am member of the second class of the Roundabout Directors Group, and was a directing apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
