first off, i'm a hoosier.
i'm a mixed vietnamese-american, fat, queer, femme director, educator and collaborator originally from indiana.
i'm the daughter of a vietnamese refugee and a southern baptist appalachian from indiana.
i'm drawn to stories of diaspora and work that creates a bridge between otherness and belonging. from the crossroads of america to standing in the crossroads of identity.
i want to create work that expands the american identity beyond monoliths. i do theatre because it holds ritual- it allows us to inhabit the present and conjures our future and past.
i'm currently assisting Adrienne Campbell Holt on this new musical Other World by Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen & Ann Mcnamee
i spent last summer as a Drama League Directing Fellow at the Hangar Theatre.
i just finished working with Perseverance Theatre in Alaska as the Community and Education Coordinator on the Winter Bear Project. i just finished directing in the new play festival at UCLA am member of the second class of the Roundabout Directors Group, and was a directing apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
